We’ve got the right stairlift for you

Whether you have a straight staircase, a curved staircase or a multi-level staircase with one or more landings, Stair Ride can help.

Straight stairlifts

Our durable, low-maintenance Harmar Pinnacle stairlifts are among the most trusted in the home access field and feature:

  • Performance and material warranties
  • Capacity of up to 350 lbs.
  • Cushioned swivel chair with armrest and footrest
Special safety features
  • Easy-clip seatbelt
  • Intelligent safety sensors to stop the chair if an object is in the way
  • Battery operation for use in power outages
Folding rail options
Designed to avoid tripping hazards in homes where the staircase is not alongside a wall (or its bottom step is very close to a door) our folding rails discretely fold back when not in use to keep your floorspace safe and clear.

Outdoor Stairlifts

Stairlifts do not need to be limited to your indoor stairs; our outdoor stairlifts are the perfect mobility aid to give you access to those outdoor spaces you love or have limited access to. Outdoor stairlifts come with all the features found on a straight stairlift and a weather resistant outdoor cover for extra protection.

Custom curved stairlifts

Curved stairlifts are designed to the exact measurements of your staircase—captured by our technicians using a high-precision camera survey kit, assuring a smooth ride on custom-curved rails. Available for purchase only.

Frequently asked questions

Q: What happens if the power goes out?
A: A Harmar Pinnacle stairlift has a battery and even if the power remains out, the battery should last for between 20 and 40 trips
Q: How long does it take to install?
A: A typical installation takes an hour or two plus some time to provide instructions and orientation for using the stairlift.
Q: How much space does the stairlift take up on the stairs?
A: A stairlift is mounted to the stair treads and is relatively compact. Most units fold up as narrow as eleven inches from the wall. If necessary, handrails can be removed or relocated to enable installation.
Q: How do I know what kind of stairlift will work in my home?
A: Stair Ride offers products that not only give complete independence to the elder people but also complement the structure of your home interiors. Get in touch with us to let us know your specific needs and schedule a free home evaluation. We will help determine the right lift for you and install it for you!
Q: How much does a stair chair lift cost?
A: In general, a professionally installed stairlift ranges between $2,800 – $5,000. This cost is equivalent to the cost of just one month at an assisted living facility.

However, the actual cost varies depending on what stairlift solution and features best fit your specific needs and the configuration of your home. Stair Ride Co. provides free home evaluations to help determine what will work best for you.

Note, if someone is selling you a stair chair lift for around $2,100 be careful, it is used equipment. Be sure to ask about warranty, where the unit was previously installed and the unit’s service history.

Q: Can I buy it and install it myself?
A: Stair Ride installs and warranties all equipment that it sells. New and used equipment can be acquired via the internet, but always be careful about used equipment. Be sure to ask how many owners it has had? Whether there is any warranty coverage? Whether an installer will guarantee the repair and maintenance of a used stairlift?
Q: How is the stairlift installed?
A: A common misconception is that a stairlift is attached to the wall. It is not. Stairlifts are secured with a series of brackets that are securely mounted to the stair treads.
Q: Why do I need a home evaluation?
A: Home evaluations insure a safe and successful installation. The width of the stairway is measured along with the length. Stairways less than 29” wide can be challenging to operate a stairlift depending on the size and flexibility of the rider. In addition, it is important to understand the condition at both the top and bottom of the stairs to be sure there is adequate clearance from doors and no tripping hazard is created.

I so enjoy my stair ride. The installers were quick and efficient. They explained the mechanics and reviewed the paperwork with me. Having the chair lift has greatly improved my mobility. Great company and product.

This company is great and they provide prompt service whenever it is needed. I have called them on a sunday when our chair stopped working and they came out to fix it within a couple of hours. The monthly cost is so reasonable, it really is a life saver for my parents.

We shopped around on price and learned Stair Ride offered the best price for value the first time I called. No games. I thought about ordering online and installing myself for my mom. But I was only saving a few hundred dollars for a lot of work and stress. And I would have no one to service the chair if needed. So they did great. Mom loves the stair rider.

Never went to the store, however, they were very efficient on the phone and in installing, and any questions we had. The Gentleman that installed was very mannerly and efficient also. I love mine, didn't think I would use it but it has helped me very much with my bad knees.

This past year my Mum needed a stair lift. From the first moment I spoke to Stair Ride, they were professional, courteous and efficient. The stair lift was my Dad's idea so we started the process. My Mum didn't want the lift so we stopped the process. Their team was so understanding! After a week or so, my Mum agreed and Stair Ride moved forward quickly. The install was great! They showed up on time. Made no mess! They were polite. Invoice came via email. The whole process was smooth during a time of huge transition for my parents. We can't thank them enough! Would highly recommend!

Our Stair Ride was an invaluable purchase. The technician who installed it was pleasant, adhered to CDC guidelines, and completed the job in a couple of hours. He made sure we were comfortable in using the lift, having each of us operate it before he left. The price was very reasonable, and we are completely satisfied with this company. We would recommend Stair Ride without hesitation!
